Hi, I’m Zoë, I’m a freelance designer based in London. I have over 8 years of design experience in the fashion industry, and am passionate about identifying and setting emerging trends. Specialising in technical sportswear, outerwear, and loungewear, I’ve had the privilege of designing for both global brands and startups, such as Puma, Zara and Oner Active.
I love creating innovative, trend-driven designs —whether it’s menswear or womenswear, I enjoy building concepts and bringing them to life. I pride myself on my ability to set forward-thinking trend and colour direction, as well as my attention to detail in CADs and technical specifications.
Whether you're a sportswear brand or a lifestyle apparel label, I am confident that my experience can help take your designs to the next level!
BACKGROUND
I studied Fashion Sportswear Design at the London College of Fashion, before moving to Germany to design for Puma. Whilst I was there I worked for both the Core Inline Women’s team (Designing sportswear for worldwide commercial markets, from initial concepts to final prototypes) and the EU Speed team (Creating exclusive collections for external European and UK based accounts such as Asos, Zalando and JD Sports). It was here that I gained insight into the global sportswear market, as well as honing my skills as a technical designer. I enjoyed designing functional, high-performance pieces that met the evolving needs of active consumers, without ever compromising on aesthetics.
After that, I moved to Spain to work for Zara, where I was instrumental in creating their first sportswear line for Men, called Zara Athleticz. Here I lead the trend and colour research and proposals, designing monthly drops as well as maintaining an Essentials collection. I designed both sportswear and accessories, with a key focus on seamless design. Whilst I was there, I helped the brand expand to include Womenswear. The product offering was broad, allowing me to design Skiwear, Outerwear, Seamless garments and Technical Sportswear. I enjoyed the challenge of working on a short timeline, with tight deadlines, ensuring collections were quick to market and trend relevant.
After working at two large international companies, I decided to move back to London to work for a start up Sportswear brand. Here I was leading the design of the Lifestyle apparel sector, encompassing outerwear, loungewear and graphics, with a key focus on trend and branding. I worked closely with the founder to bring the brand’s vision to life, and liaised daily with overseas factories to bring the products to life.
I now have my own freelance design business based in London, and am enjoying working with a wide range of brands and businesses.
